9:15:  Pick up from your accommodation and it’s a forty five minute drive to Tuscany and the Chianti area. Tuscany and Chianti are famous the world over for the excellent wines and stunning views. We travel through the hills of wine country with photo stops to capture the beauty of the Chianti hills. Vineyards, olive groves and natural woodland will accompany us to the first winery. Here you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the cellars and sit down tasting of Chianti and olive oil.

Our first stop is a larger family winery that has gained many prestigious awards and recognition. The estate focuses on traditional wines based on the Sangiovese grape which is native to Tuscany. Dry reds with moderate barrel ageing is what you can expect. The wines are Chianti, Chianti Reserve and Super Tuscans.

Our second estate is a tiny family winery, where we we’ll also be enjoying a Tuscan home cooked lunch. Though most restaurants are very good, it makes a nice change to taste something more homely. Your meal will be accompanied by Chianti and Super Tuscan wines. The estate also has gorgeous views of Tuscany which will add to the pleasure.

Our last visit of the day is to the little town of Greve in Chianti, where we’ll stop to discover the lovely square. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the porticos that surround the square that host workshops, souvenirs shops and the historical butcher ANTICO MACELLERIA FALORNI.,

Our Scenic wine tour comes to an end and it’s an hour’s drive back to your  accommodation. We trust you will be taking the experience and flavor of Tuscany home, and above all, in your heart.
